「より楽しく、より効率的に英語を学べる学校」を目指して西宮北口にJETS Academyをオープンして以来、はや、10年の月日が流れました。 いつも、あたたかくご支援してくださいました生徒の皆様方に、心より感謝申し上げます。
皆様方の明るい笑顔、励ましの声が、私にとっては、大きな勇気となり、後押ししてくださいました。
今後ともどうぞよろしくお願い申し上げます。

JETS Academyでは、「英語で何を話したいのか」（What you speak）という点を、何よりも大切に考えています。
そのために、生徒の皆様方が、「どうしても、何かひとこと話さなければ！」という気持ちになれるよう、タイムリーなニュース、映画、本、趣味、歌、ホットな話題を取り入れながら、日本人講師とネイティブ講師が協力して、カリキュラムを作成しています。
また、「英語でクッキング」、「英語で国際交流」、「英語でビジネス」、「英語でディベート」など、英語を道具（ツール）として色々なことを学ぶ　“content-based”　の教授法を今後も、さらに進化させていく所存です。

また、ＴＯＥＩＣ・英検などの資格コースにつきましては、ＴＯＥＩＣで高得点がとれても、英語をうまく話せない方が多いという厳しい現状をふまえ、ＴＯＥＩＣと英会話サロンを自由に組み合わせて受講できるような柔軟なシステムを提供しています。
企業がますます国際化する中、どうしても必要な英語でのコミュニケーション能力。　シンプルな英語でＯＫ。
大切なのはいかに効率よく伝えていくかということです。
まずは、英語のシャワーをたくさん浴びて、英語のリズムにのってみましょう！

JETS Academyでは、シンプルでわかりやすいグローバル・イングリッシュを目指しています。ネイティブスピーカーのような発音でなくても大丈夫！　アジア・ヨーロッパ・アフリカのビジネスリーダー達は、それぞれ、特徴のある発音で堂々とわたり歩いています。
日本語で論理的にしっかり話すことができれば、英語でも論理的にしっかり話すことができるはずです。

JETS Academyでは、「より楽しく」　「より効率的に」　「より安く」　「たくさん」　英語にふれる機会を提供する英会話サロン　“English Cafe”を、今後、さらに強化する予定です。　「英語を学ぶ楽しさ」、「英語を通じて広がる世界」を一人でも多くの皆様方と分かち合いたいと思います。

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the foundation of JETS Academy in Nishinomiya. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone for their generous support and encouragement. Thank you very much!

Please be assured that we are committed to further developing unique content-based curricula to allow students to enjoy learning English through covering various subjects, including business, global issues, songs, movies, and even cooking, in a homey atmosphere. Our teachers at JETS Academy are always discussing what ﾒfoods for thoughtﾓ to bring to our discussion table to make our students motivated to SPEAK. Simple English is OK as long as it is used as an effective tool of communication. Under the circumstances in which non-native English speakers outnumbers native English speakers, I think it is important for Japanese people not to much worry about pronunciation and/or making minor errors in the usage of grammar. Most of the non-native business leaders in the world know how to communicate in English effectively with their unique accents and pronunciation. So, be confident! ﾒWhat you speakﾓ is more important than ﾒhow you speak.ﾓ

I hope that JETS Academy will become the perfect venue for those who want to make international friends and bring the world and Japan closer. 　Your continued support will be greatly appreciated. 　Thank you!

JETS Academyは、２００６年に、より楽しく、効率的に英語を学べる学校を目指して設立されました。　当初から、英語をコミュニケーションのツールとして使い、英語のみならず、色々なトピックについて学べる場となる、content-basedという手法を取り入れています。　私も、ここにおられる、皆さん方から、色々なことを学ぶことができました。

ＪＥＴＳの最初の生徒さんは、ＪＩＣＡからトンガ王国に派遣された看護師の方でした。　最近も、ＪＩＣＡからウガンダに派遣された薬剤師の生徒さんもおたれ、私自身は、国際貢献のため、何もできていないのですが、海外で国際協力活動に従事されておられる方々のため、少しでもお役に立てたのであれば、とても光栄に思います。　また、今年も、兵庫県国際交流協会が主催する、オックスブリッジサマーキャンプの協力校として、ケンブリッジ大学生との交流事業を開催することができ、兵庫県国際交流協会の皆様、関係者の皆様方に、この場を借りまして、心より感謝申し上げます。（今年で９回目の受け入れとなりました！）

この、１０年間の間に、何度も、もうだめかと思うことがありましたが、何とか、ここまで続けてこられましたのも、皆さん方のような家族のように温かい生徒さん方が後押しをしてくださったからだと、感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。　本当にありがとうございました。　また、２０周年をお祝いできますよう、気持ち新たに取り組んでまいります。（ライブハウスになってしまうかもしれませんが..笑）

Opening Address (Yuri　Ito, Representative, JETS Academy)
I am so happy to be able to celebrate the 10th anniversary with you today!

JETS Academy was established in 2006 with an aim to developing a content-based teaching method, which is to encourage students to use English as a tool of communication by covering various topics including global issues, news, movies, cooking, etc.

I believe studying English is the first step to become an active member of the global community. In retrospect, my first student was a nurse who was dispatched to Tonga by JICA. Most recently, one of our students (pharmacist) was sent also by JICA to Uganda. Although, I, myself, am unable to go to these places to be involved in international volunteer activities, I feel very privileged to be able to do something for those who work hard to make the world a better place to live in for the future generation. Also, I feel very happy to be able to participate in Oxbridge Summer Camp this year again as a host school. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the Hyogo Prefectural International Association and OSCA.

I am committed to further developing a content-based method by bringing “foods for thought” to our discussion tables. I sincerely hope that I will be able to celebrate the 20th anniversary with you again and your continued support and cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
