We can use the article sent last week on Tuesday, but if it is too difficult we do not need to use it in the lesson.

For the A class on Wednesday, Keiko-San will be giving us a book report.

☆Consumption Tax

Consumption tax
According to a friend of mine who runs a real estate business, the housing market is becoming increasingly active presumably for the following COVID-19 related reasons: 1) Money spent for leisure activities has been shifted to the housing market. 2) Despite poor access to the nearest transit station, there is more demand for spacious houses in suburban/remote areas, probably due to the spread of the notion “Work From Home.” As such, it might be a good idea to lower the consumption tax rate in order to further stimulate the economy by increasing consumer purchasing power. This may eventually help solve problems pertaining to the increasing number of unoccupied residences in local areas.
