母が他界し、1か月が経ちました。　遺品の整理をしていたら、母の4人姉妹（9人兄弟姉妹中）の写真を発見しました。 クリスチャンの家庭に育ち、一番年上の姉（叔母）はシスターに。(長年、幼稚園の園長/教会のオルガン奏者をしていました。） ただし、母自体は、とてもリベラルで、私に信仰を強要したことがありませんでした。　ただ、一番大切なことは、聖書の教えをどれたけ知っているとかではなく、”愛”に満ちた行動をしなければならない、と、いう教えでした。　今日から10月。　気持ち新たにがんばります！

One month has passed since my mother left us. While reluctantly launching an overdue clean-up project (of her belongings,) I came upon an old picture of her with her sisters (nine siblings) all standing in front of a church. Raised by devout Christian parents, her eldest sister became a nun and served as a principal of a Catholic kindergarten in Osaka for many years. Being quite liberal in terms of religious outlook, my mother never forced me to practice Catholicism, telling me that the most important thing in life is to practice true love. Quoting from Corinthians 1-1: “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.“
